You Spoke, I Listened.

Here’s the deal:  a lot of you really want to join the Chakra Supercharge workshop series but over and over, I’ve heard that weekends are challenging.  That committing to something through the rest of the year is challenging.  And for some, that the length of the workshop & price is challenging.

And I’ve decided to make a change…

shorter duration:  7:00 – 9:00 pm
lower price:  $245 (singles $43)

Please find all of the updated information in the flyer below.  My website and blog also reflect these changes.  If you click the “Purchase Series” button, it will take you to a shopping cart with the new pricing.

Incidentally, this new lower price breaks down to just $35 per workshop.  This rate includes a detailed handout as well as a chakra crystal each week to take home with you.  As was the case before, if you have a conflict with just one date, it’s still cheaper to purchase the series rather than 6 individual workshops.  You’ll save $13 and still receive ALL of the handouts plus a complete set of crystals.  (Please email me to put your name on the wait list for single workshops.)

More info. and answers to FAQ’s can be found here.

October SALE!

In honor of “Dia de los Muertos, I’ve decided to offer a special sale price on the original artwork you see here…

It’s entitled “Remembrance”.

The piece measures 20″ x 16″ and is made of acrylic & ink on canvas.

The sides are galley-wrapped and painted a rich brown.  The back is signed by the artist (me) and wired so it’s ready to hang.  Two coats of UV-varnish had been applied to the surface, which gives the piece added protection and a lovely gloss finish.

Usually $800, I am offering this painting for a limited time for $240!

If you’re interested, please get in touch.

But what does this have to do with yoga, you might ask?  Not much.  But painting is a big part of who I am, so I do believe it all relates.  Thanks for reading!

Buddha House – It’s a Wrap!

Just look at these lovely souls!…

What an EXCEPTIONAL day we had together!
I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

A well-timed marine layer kept things cool through most of our morning practice on the deck overlooking the Pacific.  (Not to worry though – we generated enough internal heat!)

But the clouds parted just as we were rounding the corner into Savasana and it was warm and sunny through the rest of the day.

Friendships were made, time was taken for OURSELVES, and (I hope) people left feeling as if their wells had been filled.  I saw one of my students in class just after the retreat.  She came to the retreat solo but brought her husband to class that day.  He came up to me after practice and said, “Thank you for the way you sent my wife home to me!”  That pretty much sums up all I had hoped to achieve.

Thank you to every single one of you who came out to spend the day with me.

Peace & Quiet in Sin City

Nothing beats solitude when you need to do some serious thinking and for the last three nights, I was able to do just that.  How, you might ask?  By holing myself up in a suite on the Vegas Strip, of course!

Now, you’re probably shaking your head in amusement, thinking that a trip to Sin City is anything but a nurturing, soul-searching experience.  However, I assure you that for me, it is.  I love the fact that I can get a beautiful suite at The Palazzo for a very reasonable rate.  Once I’m there, all of my needs are footsteps away – top-notch dining, a well-equipped drugstore, plus a gorgeous gym and spa with terrific yoga classes.

I escaped solo in order to devote my undivided attention to my Buddha House Yoga Day Retreat.  Prior to Vegas, I was attempting to bring this retreat into the world by frantically snatching bits of time here and there.  Needless to say, that was not working.  I owe this retreat more than that.

So escape I did.  And boy, were these three days INTENSE!  But my time in Vegas turned out to be cathartic and powerful, too.  I was able to fully develop the content for the entire day – from our 8:30 am arrival time until we say goodbye at 5:00 pm.  I also designed and wrote the Yin/Restorative sequence.  The only thing I have left to do other than fine-tune is to write the Vinyasa Flow sequence.  I have a good idea what I want to do there though, so it’s just a matter of sitting down to commit it to paper.

All in all, I am EXTREMELY proud of the work I’ve done during this trip.  I conceived a program which (I hope) will allow participants to stand more strongly in their power.  I feel like this retreat – the yoga as well as the other things I have planned – will really impact people’s lives.  If nothing else, it will certainly give folks a lot to chew on and mull over in the weeks and months to come.

It’s been deeply rewarding to watch the retreat fill.  In fact, while I was away two more yogis added their names to the roster.  That’s incredibly validating.  And I take this responsibility very seriously.  If you’ve already signed up and you’re reading this, thank you for placing your trust in me.  If you have been considering joining us, don’t wait.  As of this writing, I have 10 spots remaining.
